Eire

Fields of green

Winding roads

Trickling stream

Eire

Loving and strong,

Loyal and true

Every love song

Eire

Twelve Bells

Bittersweet bells toll...
One ring for the broken heart
Tears sparkle like diamonds
One chime for the cleansing

Echoes of the past haunting
One ring for tomorrow's dreams
Engulfing emotions take their victory
One chime for the spoils of war

Battle scars ache spitefully
On ring for the healing
A proud head is held higher
One chime for foolish pride

The fragments are scattered,
One ring for goodbye
The memories are soothed,
One chime for forgiveness...

Star crossed dreamers draw near,

One ring for destiny

A spark ignites the two

One chime for energy

The eyes cleared of liquid sorrow
One ring for pure joy
The oaths are sworn with kisses pure
One chime for forever

Twelve bells to the hour,
It's midnight now and the bells are still,
The bittersweet is now no longer so sour
And all wounds heal with time still.
The spell can be broken if you so desire,
But so many consequences lay left in the wake
The future is now blazed by a fire
That will take more than water to break.

Random Ramble

* Tomorrow's tears can't be erased before today's pains have caused them

* Somehow we see all we'll ever need now left behind in yesterday's wake

* Forever's first kiss, you aim and then miss, happily nevermore, a fairy tale done

* Finality is fraility, bending shows bravery, and love is there hidden in disillusioned confusion

* You stand weeping, fall down laughing, and unspoken rhymes never stray far

* You are today, you love yesterday, and you live for all the tomorrows that never are...

All the Forms of You

My eyes lock with yours,

And I tumble into blue,

And then you become

All the forms of you.

I always thought you were my soul mate,

Completely believed you were forever mine,

And that night, I finally confirmed it,

And this truth cannot be denied.

I want to tell you how I feel,

But my words won’t succeed at all,

My mouth refuses to open,

So the tears begin to fall.

Your eyes, so clear, remain unchanged,

Steady deep, and warm azure,

No matter who you are, or will become,

Of your eyes, I’ll be sure.

So tonight, be mine,

And for all the ages, too.

For now I know I’ll always love,

All the forms of you.

Abby

She sits alone, the hard chair cold.

Nervously, she twists the ring on her finger.

Her eyes wander down to the band of gold.

Her eyes fill up, and her doubts begin to linger.

Before she can let her emotions lead her feet,

A woman walks up to her, young, and kind.

She shakily stands and leaves her seat,

Mentally willing her fears to stay behind.

They enter an office, cozy and warm,

As they are seated, she is asked to speak,

Gathering her composure as her thoughts swarm,

Despite her best efforts, the tears begin to leak.

“I have a baby now, and he said he’d be there,

But now I’m entirely on my own,

And a baby and a toddler would be too much to bear,

If I have to do it all alone.

So I came for help, to see if you could,

Help me find a family for this baby girl.

As long as there’s one who maybe would,

Let me be a part of her world.”

“I have a few, if you’d like to look”

And she handed the girl profiles to check out.

Her eyes stopped searching when she saw the 3rd book,

“This in the one!” she said, “Without any doubt!”

They met that evening, and talked all night,

She was thrilled to have found two people so great.

“We’d love for your baby to become our little light,

We are so excited we can hardly stand to wait!”

Their wait wasn’t long, the baby came soon after,

Their lives are complete, and she’s well taken care of,

Their days are filled with her wonderful laughter,

And all of their world’s are filled with love.

The girl is now married, with more babies on the way,

She sees her daughter often, and can easily tell,

Her gift is the joy and highlight of their every waking day,

And so our story now ends well.

You Never Came

I used to be the one you talked to when you had a need

And when you felt like crying, you always ran to me.

Now I’m the one crying because to me you never came.

You’re in ICU and I can’t share your pain.

I look into your still blue eyes for a life I don’t see,

As I sit and wonder why you never came to me.

As a tear falls from me and lands on your cheek.

A nurse comes in and says it’s time to leave.

I lean over and reach for one last tousle of your perfect hair

When a piercing, mechanical shriek fills the air

Doctors come in, pushing me away,

Shocked, thinking nothing, I’m in a daze.

The doctor walks up, “I’m so sorry, we tried”

Please take this time to say goodbye.”

So I walk back in, and gaze at you on the bed,

You look like you’re still sleeping, at peace, but not dead.

I look again at your eyes, now a dull gray,

The life in them now taken away,

Tonight was the night of your young life’s end,

But tonight, in my dreams, you’ll be in my arms again.

Llandyra's Legend (Poem)

Fire crackles, snuggle in tight

Cuddle under the blankets

Sit by the fire light,

And my tale I'll spin into the night......

The stars had gathered over the moor

The girl rode wandering toward the shore

Faltering with the reigns, unsteady and unsure,

Confused in a land she'd never seen before.

The dream said to come, destiny did await

And so quickly she left, her desires to abate.

She saddled up her steed, and walked out the gate,

With head held high, she galloped forward to her fate.

A differing dream woke him from his sleep,

And feverishly he aimed for the ocean keep.

His horse nickered when the night grew deep,

But he pressed onward regardless of what might creep.

With the Moon, You....

Golden dreams of bright eyes,

Wake from a feeling that never dies.

A hero with a scar saves me again,

Pray tonight the dream won't end.

Fight the sun rise with all your might,

For all dreams fade to gray with the light.

The moon will guide me as the sun,

Follow its path until the journey is done.

The effects of the dream linger well into day,

Amber light remains to lead the way.

The hero will wait out the afternoon,

For with each night comes the new moon.

No Regrets

If everything is not ok,
Then don't act like you're fine
Don't sit there across from me,
And ignore what's on your mind.

I didn't think there were regrets,
At least not on your part,
But lately it seems to me,
You've closed off your heart.

Maybe I'm too read into things,
Maybe I follow too deep,
But our connection was real,
And that memory I will keep.

I am sorry if you are confused,
If you wish to change the past,
I'm here if you want to talk,
And want our friendship to last.

Please, let nothing change,
It can still be the same,
The laughter and connection
That brought us to where we came.

Our Boys

Not so long ago, you were out causing problems with your friends…

Today, you are a million miles away fixing someone else’s problem.

Feels like just yesterday, we were all laughing about some silly thing or another…

Now we wait just for a few words on a piece of paper or a computer screen.

No more than months ago, you were “fighting” with someone over something random…

Tomorrow, you’ll go out and risk your life to fight for that person’s freedom.

A year ago, your biggest worry was who was gonna be your drinkin’ buddy that night…

Tonight, you say goodnight, hopin’ your buddy will be there the next night, too.

Just a while back, we knew where you were, confident of your general safety and happiness.

Not a day doesn’t go by now, that we don’t pray and cry, hope and dream that you are okay, wherever you are now.

But remember always as we say our prayers, and shed our tears, share our memories and hopes, that we are fiercely proud, too. We don’t say it enough, no one ever does, but we our more than happy to say you are our boys, too. You aren’t just fighting for them, you’re fighting for us, too. So, while you’re out there, somewhere, following your commands, remember us, and your other orders: COME HOME SAFE!

Heavy

I call out, and you turn.....

Young, so young you look just now

Still the echo of the dream hangs.

Heavy.

You say you don't care,

And yet you avoid any contact,

And so here am I with my images,

Heavy.

Thoughts that glowed warm at night,

In the glare of daytime burn.

Remain unresolved still...

Heavy.

Let's talk about our tangle,

And figure out just how

To begin to unravel

Heavy.

Night Muse

Can you see the light in the dark,

Follow it with the lead in your heart.

Let it guide you into your falling,

Slip into the destiny calling.

Gather your courage in the starlight,

It'll take all you have to make it this night,

Turn away from what you think you know,

Allow yourself to open up and grow.

The words she has may not belong to you,

But they can still burn just as true,

So listen well, and listen wise,

And ignore the garish sun's lies.

The moon will lead you to peace,

And the conflict will cease.

So follow your muse, into the deep,

And no more will your soul weep.

Broken Angel

Broken evil,

Angel so bruised,

Either way it went,

One had to lose.

And so wings have shattered,

Feathers all lost,

Sacrifice to save one,

But at what cost?

No healing left for you now,

Bloodied, and so torn,

Nothing to do but feel the pain,

And to sorrow and mourn.

Maybe tears will purify,

Saline will burn dark away,

And wings shall be whole again,

To fly another day.

It Starts

There you are

Where you are

And fallen, I have

Caught me, you did.

Try to escape the....

I cannot live without......

But how could we handle.....

Then, you, and peace.

It's there, it holds...

Surrounds, warms..

But the thought...

Of loss..

Haunts.

Journey

Hold onto glimpsing glancing glowing

Just try and stop the feeling free flowing.

Connect into pure perfection proving

That love is mostly mainly moving

It seeks itself, reaching roaming ripping

And crashes into tumbling tangling tripping

Focal point completion connection consuming

And life grows, blossoming, beautiful, blooming.

Feral

When my words run out,

My heart will still beat.

Though sound may be gone,

Love will still keep.

What was and will be

All merge into one

And nothing could erase

What has been done.

So drown the crashing waves,

And fight the heat with flame

For all we touch is golden

Wild, and untamed.

Surround me in your words,

Guild me with your heart,

And no matter the span between us,

Never will we be apart,

Tumbling

The woods, dark and familiar. The cold, ignored. Their minds and bodies are warm, and blurred around the edges. A million sighs are heard, the unfinished starts to a hundred unspoken desires.
Hunger.

The closeness of his presence, the near tangibility of the persistent dreams.
Longing.

Not brave enough to act, but too terrified not to. Right there, almost....
"No fear, girl! ACT!"
"Reach out, touch, pull, taste."
"No! What if I'm wrong?"
"What if I stumble awkwardly?"
"What if I aim and miss?"
"What...ifffffffff...."
The blood pounds faster, hotter, rushing, racing, raci----

She shoves aside concern for unknowns, and pulls her dream to her.
Connection.
Finally. Sparks, glowing, warmth. "Am I? Are we?" Ahhhhhhh........

Hands are hungry too, eagerly sampling this and that. Dare to push the dream farther, harder. The chilly air (what chilly air?!) hangs softly around. Silvery moonlight illuminates pale skin. Closer?
Blurs and glimpses of each other, tangled and tumbled to the ground. Doesn't matter anymore who they are in daylight. There is only now. Music of dreams is translated to heartbeats, rhythmic breaths, and star-song
Something falters, a misstep, a fumbled play. Reality comes reeling back to smack sobriety back into the blurry brains. Stand up, brush off, and with a shaky laugh head back towards civilization. One or two more stolen kisses before the moment has escaped.

Oh! There's the cold......

If

f there was some way,

It could all be okay

You know I'd try and find it.

And if you could see

A way for you and me,

I know you'd try and make it.

If we then found and made,

The dream we have played,

We know we'd perfect it.

Knight Falls

Gather your skirts and run like hell,

Kneel next to the one who just fell

Curls tumble down to sheild his face

Slow your breathing to a regular pace.

Kiss away bruises all black and blue,

Kisses heal hidden wounds, too.

Whisper comfort into his ear,

Do you best to vanquish your fear.

A Lady must be strong for her knight,

And never must let waver her light.

Safe in soft arms, pain fades away

The battle may be done for this day....

But the sun sets low in the sky,

And under cover of darkness, two shall fly...

Llandyra's Legend

Dark curls tumble into a hood. Silvery tears stream down her cheeks. She is running with the wind tonight, and going to follow the storm out of town. Little lady, feisty and tough, still so broken and scared. Wrap your arms around the neck of the horse and slide up, gripping the reigns and taking off. “No don’t look back. This is it. There is no love for you here now, no gilded future shining in these cande-lit windows anymore. It’s all done, and time to build your own future again. Head up, now.” The rain is done, and the only damp on her cheeks comes from the storm still brewing inside her. She tightens her grip on the reigns and snuggles deeper into her warm fur lined coak, and heads towards the south, the sea, and a new future.

Blood is dried on his face, his rough five day growth is caked with it. Even his curls are a bit matted with signs of the battle. His grey blue eyes are clear, but the sparkle is a bit too bright, the only reflection of his pain. The nurse ignores his grunts and grimaces, quickly sewing the woulnd on hi cheek. She finishes and sends him on his way, and as he leaves, he catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror. “16 stitches in my cheek, sure and that was going to be a pretty scar.” He wasn’t feeling so young anymore, one year out from thirty, and the new injuries certainly didn’t brighten his spirits. He grit his teeth, turned on his heel, and headed to his room, stripping off clothing and wincing as he went.

She pulls the reigns to the right, pulling the horse off the side of the road. Gently sliding off of him, she leads him down to a stream, bedning to drink herself. After quenching her thirst, she splashed the cool water onto her face to wash trail dust off, and to refresh for the second half of her traverse. She then stands, unstraps a saddle bag, and sits on the grassy bank. She pulls out an apple, a fat carrot, wedge of cheese, small loaf of bread, and a sugar lump. She sliced the apple into pieces, giving the horse some, while eating some herself. She also slices the loaf of bread, wrapping and putting away half for later. She slices a few pieces of cheese, and then feeds the horse the carrot while finishing the bread and cheese. After filling up her skin with more fresh water, she slides back up into the saddle and heads back on the trail. The clouds have more than disipated, and the sun has warmed the earth by now. She lowers the hood to her cloak, and smiles up at the sun.

He splashes his face with water one last time, removing and remaining grime from the days previous events. He debates dragging a blade across his face to remove the growth, but instead decides it can wait one more day, and he turns to his window instead. The square was abuzz as usual, the random mix of villagers, sailors, merchants, nobilit, servants, children, and assorted animals moving about the grounds surrounding the main keep. He cupped his hands over his eyes, and looked out to the sea. The storm had cleared out over night, and the waves were lightly cresting on the shore. The gulls were flying, and the dogs were running, and he knew it would be the perfect place to ride out, set up camp for a day or two, and be away from the noise. He called a page from outside his room, and arranged for his horse to be outfitted, while he gathered things from his room and the great kitchen before heading to see his father.

She crested the hill before lunchtime, the village surrounding the ocean stronghold only another few moments away. She had been passing houses and farms for a while now, and her mood was lifiting as each step drew her nearer. Her mare neighed and snickered, ears happily perked as she smelled other horses in the vicinity. She loosened the laces on her cloak and at the sides of her bodice, and sat up a bit higher in the sadle, scanning the buildings and villagers as she passed. She smiled at them all, her dimples growing deep in her cheeks. A few stray tendrils spilled out of her braids, and blew in the ocean tainted breeze that carried throughout the town. She licked her lips and tasted the salt and moisture in the air. Debating on whether to stay at an inn or to rough it on the beach, she decided that either way, she might as well stop for some rest and refreshment before going any further. She quickly sought out and spotted a sign indicating just the place, and she steered her mount in the direction of the "Crow's Nest Tavern"

I am, and I am not

Wild child hair, dark thick curls,

Guess they could be the dream of some girls.

Big brown eyes, deep and true

How many times I've wished they were blue.

Small frame, short and petite,

I'm finally used to only meausring 5 feet.

You get what you see, no airbrushing for me.

I'm no cover model, no size 1,

Doesn't mean I'm not as fun.

If you want someone real, I'm right here,

I know how to love and give without fear.

I'll not run from reality, no matter how stark,

And though I might tremble, I don't fear the dark.

I believe in dreams and I think they come true

I just think that making it happen is up to you.

I'm no ideal girl, no perfect ten,

But I can make you believe again.

Reaching Stars

I want to be remembered.

In a smiling sort of way.

And I want to be likened,

To a sunny sort of day.

I want to be cherished,

A jewel in a chest,

And I want to be noticed,

Shine above the rest.

I want to make a difference,

Save each starfish one by one,

I want to be seek the light,

Reach it blazing like the sun.

I want to finally live,

Moving past the scars.

I want to shoot the moon,

At least reaching stars...

Tequila Tango

The drum beat starts,
Rhythms steady flow
Take my hand,
Dance with me,
To a new beat all our own

Tequila tango
Twist and step and turn,
Drumbeats heady
Are you ready,
To feel the liquor burn?
Dizzying dance just you and me,
Spinning round the floor,
Forget the rules of the game,
And dance with me some more

Footwork fancy,
Move with grace
Keep the rhythm strong
If you keep me in your arms,
We'll share the dance all night long

Tequila tango
Twist and step and turn,
Drumbeats heady
Are you ready,
To feel the liquor burn?
Dizzying dance just you and me,
Spinning round the floor,
Forget the rules of the game,
And dance with me some more

Hold me tight,
Pull me close,
Trade certain for chance
Let go of doubt,
Now is the time to dance...
